2016 National Tartan Day
Join us in celebrating National Tartan Day at historic Beauvoir, on the beach in Biloxi, MS.
National Tartan day is a celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath. This document, dated April 6, 1320, was the original Scottish declaration of independence from their British overlords. To celebrate America's rich Scottish Heritage, as well as the influence that this document had upon our own Declaration of Independence, Mississippi's own Trent Lott brought forward the creation of a national holiday to celebrate the drafting of this historic document.
